The Kids of Promise Kindergarten program proves to be developmentally appropriate for many children who have reached their 5th birthday by September 1st.
There is a strong emphasis on pre-reading and beginning reading skills. Phonemic awareness and language development are the basis for the program, using A Beka as the primary curriculum. Mathematical skills are developed through numerical understanding, classifications and relationships, geometric shapes, and money concepts. A variety of learning opportunities are provided for students to study the world around them though hands on learning activities and enrichment classes in music, and art. Bible lessons are a part of the daily class schedule and serve to reinforce individual character traits.
